Provider Revenue & Earnings 💰

This guide is for beauty providers on Aurora. Learn how you earn money, how to choose a revenue model, and how to get paid to your M-Pesa.

Three ways to earn on Aurora

When you set up your provider profile, you choose one of three revenue models. Each works differently — pick the one that fits how you work.

Rolling CycleBest for new providers

You pay a commission on each completed appointment. The commission rate starts at 12.5% and decreases as you complete more appointments and earn more each month. No upfront cost — you only pay when you earn.

Great if you're just starting out or working part-time. Low risk, nothing to pay until clients come in.

CommissionTraditional model

Similar to Rolling Cycle but your tier is evaluated monthly rather than appointment-by-appointment. Suits providers with a steadier, predictable flow of bookings.

Good for established providers who want a monthly earnings review and predictable commission adjustments.

SubscriptionHigh-volume providers

Pay a fixed monthly subscription fee and keep 100% of your appointment earnings — zero commission per booking. Premium features included.

Best if you're doing high volumes (multiple bookings daily), possibly with a team of staff. The subscription fee pays for itself quickly.

💡 Tip: You can change your revenue model once per billing period from your Dashboard → Revenue Settings.

Commission tiers — how they work

For Rolling Cycle and Commission models, your commission rate drops as you grow. Aurora tracks your monthly performance and automatically moves you up (or down) the tier ladder.

TierCommissionMonthly target
🥉 Bronze12.5%Starting tier
🥈 Silver10.0%50+ appts / KES 20k
🥇 Gold8.5%100+ appts / KES 50k
💎 Platinum7.5%200+ appts / KES 100k
⭐ Elite6.5%500+ appts / KES 200k

Tier progress is measured by a mix of completed appointments (60%), monthly revenue (25%), on-time rate (10%), and client retention (5%). You can see your current progress on your Dashboard.

Tracking your earnings

Your Dashboard → Earnings shows your balance in real time. Every time an appointment is marked Complete, your earnings (after commission) are added to your available balance immediately.

The ledger tab breaks down each appointment — what the client paid, your commission deduction, and your net earning for that booking. Useful for your own records.

Withdrawing to M-Pesa

Go to Dashboard → Withdraw and enter the amount you want to send to your M-Pesa. Make sure the M-Pesa number on your profile is correct and matches an active Safaricom line in your name.

Withdrawals are processed within 24 hours. You'll receive an M-Pesa SMS when the funds arrive. Your withdrawal history is saved under Dashboard → Withdrawals.

Daily withdrawal limits apply per tier:

BronzeKES 50,000 / day
SilverKES 75,000 / day
GoldKES 100,000 / day
PlatinumKES 150,000 / day
EliteKES 250,000 / day

💡 Tip: Higher tiers also get a discount on the withdrawal fee — Elite providers pay 50% less in withdrawal fees than Bronze.

Earning from no-shows

If a client doesn't arrive for a Confirmed appointment, you can mark it as a No-Show from the appointment screen. A 50% fee is charged to the client and you keep a portion after commission — compensating you for the time you blocked.

You can only mark no-show after the appointment's scheduled end time has passed.
